​Fiber Media Converter Overview

The LNK Series Industrial Serial to Ethernet Server System establishes a robust bridge between legacy serial equipment and modern IP-based networks. This advanced system features a distributed architecture comprising remote-end units and central office equipment for large-scale serial device connectivity.

Our industrial-grade remote units employ DIN-rail mounted design for space-efficient installation in control cabinets, seamlessly converting 2-channel RS232/RS422/RS485 serial communications into standardized IP data packets. These serial-over-IP packets are then transmitted through dual Fast Ethernet copper ports and an optional fiber optic interface, providing flexible connectivity options for various industrial network infrastructures.

The central management station incorporates a 4U rack-mount chassis with high-density port configuration, featuring eight Fast Ethernet optical ports and one Gigabit Ethernet uplink port. This centralized hub efficiently aggregates serial data streams from multiple remote units, enabling seamless integration of up to 8 serial channels through optical fiber links into your core network via the Gigabit Ethernet backbone.

Specifically engineered for industrial automation and IIoT applications, this server system delivers reliable protocol conversion between serial devices and Ethernet networks, supporting MODBUS TCP/RTU gateway functionality while ensuring maximum data integrity through electrical isolation and surge protection mechanisms. The solution is ideal for SCADA systems, factory automation, and utility monitoring applications requiring secure remote access to distributed serial devices.
